Bedrooms are smaller than  in the U.S., and renters pay the    property tax, which is called the    "arnunah"!    VOLUNTEERS Thanks to these people who are helping the Wilmington ALIYAH PROJECT... Chester Starling, President of  Highland Trucking, Inc., attends Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church. He has assisted in fund raising and calling people who have received mailers in outreach. He is greatly  appreciated.              Margaret Fedora is a special needs  teacher in Noble Middle School in Ogden. She is assisting The ALIYAH PROJECT in research and library needs, and also will  help with the Newsletter. She is warmly welcomed. Special thanks also to Rabbi Robert Waxman  of B'nai Israel Congregation on  Chestnut Street for passing out fliers about  the Wilmington ALIYAH PROJECT  to clergy from North Carolina who were gathered in Wilmington for a regional  convocation. . Rivkah bat Malcha, a member of the Reformed Temple of Israel downtown, has a background in business. Some  of  you will get to meet this charming woman by phone as she helps with the fund raising outreach. **********************************************    FYI   - -                What is "ERETZ YISRAEL"? Hills of Israel after the spring rains. In Hebrew "Eretz Yisrael" literally           means "land Israel." It refers to that very  special Land so dear to the hearts of  the Jewish people. The Hebrew word "eretz" is used over 1500 times in the Bible -- more than most other words. Why? In the Bible, Land --how it is treated, allocated, populated-- is watched over by God. Plus The Land of Israel is referred to as a gift, a destination, something promised,   critical to the covenant, and handpicked  as a dwelling place for Him and His        people.  So the Land of Israel must be very    special to God. Jewish people have    understood that for thousands of years.  Christian people can appreciate God's    love for the Land "Eretz Yisrael" in the    words "...For God so loved the    WORLD..."  Here the Greek word    "cosmos" is  translated "world" and        refers to all things created by God         including The Land. Shalom...     It is an exciting NEW year for                     the Wilmington ALIYAH                               PROJECT as we set forth to                    establish our first base in the                     Land of ISRAEL in the hills                        above the Sea of Galilee --    View of The Galilee from the hills    This first issue of the online                       Wilmington ALIYAH PROJECT                  NEWSLETTER also marks the                       beginning of a broader outreach to                  the community of  people and        organizations that  sponsor the        Wilmington ALIYAH PROJECT. In these challenging days we                          wish you all Shalom... God's                peace...and we say together                           with Jewish people worldwide,                    past and present... "next year                       in Jerusalem."                    The northern border of Israel with                      Lebanon used to be be easy to cross.                     Now it is heavily guarded.   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BLESS ISRAEL  and  BE              BLESSED...        "I will bless those who                      bless you..."                                                                Gen. 12:3                                                             * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Report of a sudden                     healing...  It is not unusual for the             miraculous to occur                    when people partner for             ALIYAH. In these Newsletters we will                  share some of the testimonials                  we receive from people who                       see God blessing them as they                commit to support of the House                 of ISRAEL through the                              Wilmington ALIYAH Project. Pam Chitwood of Wilmington,                emailed us the day after she                   started partnering....   "I'm giving thanks & praise    this morning to the Lord   for  healing my shoulder   last night! For many months I'd been having pain in       my left ulder, leaving my  left arm weaker than the right. I noticed it particularly every time I tried to lift a gallon of     milk out of the                       refrigerator or  when I  tried picking up my        grand son .... I hadn't  been to a doctor because I    guess I was just resigned to 'living with it.' A few  minutes ago I got the usual milk out of the  refrigerator... and I              immediately noticed      THERE WAS NO PAIN!       SO then my                     grandson and picked him    up, and GLORY TO GOD!!!  THERE WAS NO PAIN!!!                               I'm healed!  Hallelujah!!!" It took many miracles for God            to  bring the people ISRAEL            back to the Land.
